Custom Stamp Dies

We have over 100 dies on hand in our bindery.  Please see samples, below. The price per imprint is $2.00.

We can also have stamping dies made to order if you provide us with your own black and white hard copy artwork. (As of January, 2012, we no longer accept artwork in digital format.) Please be aware that die stamps can only be made from pure black and white line artwork (no shades of gray). Please mail us your high quality, hard copy image printed in black and white in the size you wish your die to be made. Please be aware that fuzzy or pixilated edges on the artwork will produce an inferior die.

We have been splitting the cost of comic die making with our customers with the intention of keeping the dies in our die library, making them available to other customers. We are happy to continue doing so for popular images. However, customers may now need to pay the full cost of more obscure die images that may not be requested for use by others. We would be glad to give a quote.  Please mail us your hard copy image and we’ll get back to you.

Tips for usable artwork:

  • The best artwork for creating a die is vector art, not the rastor images typically found on the internet. (A vector image is a collection of connected lines and curves, as opposed to a rastor image that is a collection of dots/pixels. The most commonly used program to create or convert to a vector image is Adobe Illustrator.)
  • Please keep your image to 3-1/2” in any one dimension. This is the upper limit of the capability of our stamping equipment.
